مقدمة كتاب الطالب انجليزي للصف العاشر الفصل الأول:
Introduction
Origin to Outlook is a secondary-stage English coursebook series designed for Grade 10 learners in Kuwait. It has been developed with careful attention to classroom needs, educational aims, and students’ language development. The series helps learners build strong communication skills in English while reflecting Kuwait’s cultural identity, national values, and rich heritage. It also opens learners’ minds to different cultures and global ideas, so they can broaden their understanding of the world and develop respect for others.
Origin to Outlook is based on Kuwait’s national curriculum standards and guided by the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). It develops students’ competence in listening, speaking, reading, and writing. The content reflects the CEFR “Can Do” progression by guiding learners to move from understanding main ideas and giving simple opinions to analysing texts, supporting viewpoints, and producing clear, connected spoken and written responses. Differentiated learning pathways are also provided to meet students’ varied abilities, interests, and learning styles.
Kuwait Vision 2035 gives the course a clear national direction. The course supports this vision by developing confident, respectful, and globally aware learners. It encourages them to contribute positively to their school, community, and country. It also focuses on the 4Cs: critical thinking, collaboration, communication, and creativity. Along with these skills, digital literacy and responsible citizenship are promoted so that learners can apply their learning in both classroom and real-world situations.
To support effective language learning, the course integrates CEFR-appropriate content, Cambridge English vocabulary guidelines, and task-based learning. Together, these elements strengthen both receptive and productive language skills. Students are encouraged to read critically, listen actively, speak confidently, and write purposefully using language that is meaningful, accurate, and suitable for Grade 10 leamers.
As students move through the course, they will explore meaningful themes, work together on purposeful tasks, reflect on important values, and grow in confidence as they express their ideas clearly and thoughtfully. This course invites learners, teachers, and parents to share a learning journey in which English becomes a bridge to personal development, national pride, and wider global awareness.
